Texas Hunter Education


We offer public and private Texas Hunter Education classes. Our Chief Instructor is a Certified Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Instructor.



Who Needs to Take Hunter Education?
Anyone hunting the in the State of Texas born after September 1971 must complete a Hunter Education Course. Children ages 9 to 17 must attend an in person class and are not eligible for online courses. Anyone under the age of 9 must be Accompanied.

What is Accompanied?
Texas Parks and Wildlife describes “Accompanied” as “By a person who is at least 17, who is licensed to hunt in Texas, who has passed hunter education or is exempt (born before Sept 1971), and within normal voice control distance”.

How long is the course?
The basic Hunter Education course takes approximately 6 hours to complete.

How much does it cost?
The course cost $15 if you attend one of our general sessions put on throughout the year. Private course cost varies depending on location.

Parental Supervision:
Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.

General Class:

Private Classes:
If you have a minimum of 5 students and wish to receive private training you can contact us at info@bpranch.com to discuss setting up and holding a private Hunter Education class for your group.
