Texas LTC Classes


Beech Paradise Ranch is proud to be able to offer Texas License To Carry Classes.

We offer 4 different types of LTC Classes. Group Classes, Individual Classes, Shooting Qualification Only, and Classes with 1 hour of coaching in preparation for new shooters.

Who Is Eligible:
1) Must be able to legally posses a firearm.
2) Adults age 18 and Up.
3) US Citizens, Legal Residents, Naturalized Citizens, Visa Holders, Resident Aliens.
4) You may complete the class before applying for your LTC with the State. You have 2 years from the time of class completion to submit for your LTC.

Class Criteria:
1) 4 Hours Instruction. 1 Hour Shooting Proficiency Test.
2) This is not a Firearms Instruction Class. You must already posses the knowledge of how to handle, load, unload, and operate your firearm safely before attending.
3) Semi-Automatic or Revolvers Caliber .22 – .45 are allowed for shooting portion.
4) Use of Red Dot sights is Allowed.
5) Optics which enhance or magnify are not allowed.
6) Any State or Government Issued ID Required.

Cost:
Prices are All Inclusive (Taxes, Class & Range Fee).
$20 for Texas LTC Shooting Qualification Only. ($15 Special Member).

Group Sessions (4 or more) & Pre-Scheduled Classes:
1) $70 per Student. (Class & Shooting Qualification).
2) $50 per Special Member. (U.S. Military Active & Veterans, LEO, First Responders, Medical Professionals, Veterinarians, Teachers). (Class & Shooting Qualification).
3) $100 for Class, Shooting Qualification, and 1 Hour Private Instruction Preparation for Shooting Qualification.

Private Sessions:
LTC Classes have a $150 minimum for 2 students or less.
1) $70 per Student (Class & Shooting Qualification).
2) $50 per Special Member. (U.S. Military Active & Veterans, LEO, First Responders, Medical Professionals, Veterinarians, Teachers). (Class & Shooting Qualification).
3) $20 for Texas LTC Shooting Qualification Only. ($15 Special Member).

Texas LTC Holders vs Permit-less Carry (HB1927) (Constitutional Carry). Benefits of an LTC License:
1) Texas LTC holders can avoid NICS (Background) checks and directly purchase a firearm the same day without wait, Permit-less carry can not.
2) Texas LTC holders Legal age to carry a firearm is 18 vs Permit-less Carry legal age to carry a firearm is 21.
3) Texas LTC holders may carry in a public school parking lot as long as it is secured in the vehicle. Permit-less carry shall not be within 1000ft of a public school.
4) Texas LTC holders may carry past a “Gun Buster” or 30.05 sign, Permit-less carry shall not.
5) Neither Texas LTC holders or Permit-less carry shall not carry past 30.06 or 30.07 signs.
6) Texas LTC holders may only concealed carry at a institution of Higher Education, Permit-less carry shall not.
7) Texas LTC holders may carry at a hospital or nursing facility or amusement park (Texas State Fair), Permit-less carry shall not.
8) Texas LTC holders may carry in the room of an open governmental entity, Permit-less carry shall not.
9) Texas LTC holders may carry at the State Capital, but not on the house floor or in the rooms of representatives when in session, Permit-less carry may not.
10) Texas LTC is a Legal Voter ID, also recognized as a Legal Government issued form of Identification.

12) Texas LTC holders may carry at an open Government meeting, Permit-less carry shall not.
13) Texas LTC holders can be turned around for accidental carry at an airport, Permit-less carry is a $3,000+ fine and up to 10 years in jail.
14) Texas LTC holders can not pick and choose when to be an LTC or Permit-less carry. Texas LTC holders are always under the LTC category.
