Texas DPS School Safety Certification Course


This Texas DPS School Safety Certification Course prepares qualified school staff to defend against an active shooter on campus. Conducted on our private shooting range this course meets HB3 and HB13 requirements.

This comprehensive program demands physical and mental readiness. Participants will learn practical applications, classroom training, advanced instruction on the range, tactical training and more. Training includes classroom safety management, guiding students, barricading techniques, defensive tactics, holster drawing, firearm security around students, shooting and reloading while moving, and tactical marksmanship under stress.

School district employees may enroll in this course independently or through their district’s professional development system.

Texas School Safety Certification Criteria:
1) Posses a Texas License To Carry.
2) Be legally allowed to carry a firearm.
3) Be 18 years of age or older.
4) Optional: A weapon mounted light (Highly Recommended)
5) Optional: Red Dot (Highly Recommended)
6) Optional: At least 3 magazines and a magazine pouch.
7) Optional: Magazines that hold more than 10 rounds

4) Maintenance.
5) Office Personnel
6) Janitorial Staff.
7) Any School or District Employee.

Continuing Qualification
We offer continuing qualification and professional development programs for school districts and their employees who wish to refresh existing skills, advance their capabilities and meet district requalification requirements.
